Site Redesign Underway

In spite of the lack of any recent news, PBW2 development is not on hiatus! We are currently working on revamping the layout of the site. There is a beta (beta) version of the site where the new UI can be previewed.
This thread will be the running discussion on the new UI until it is launched.
A few notable changes include:
- New color scheme.
- Removal of HTML tables, general redesign of pages that used to use them.
- Reduction of the "sidebar" as a barrage of links. Most controls have been moved to more sensible locations in the pages. The goal is that the sidebar will just display other semi-related items on a few pages. e.g. other articles in a news category.
- Prototype mobile version of the site. Currently, the main changes involve a reduction in the navigation menu. Over time, we will be optimizing pages for mobile view. At present, there is no browser detection in place; the mobile version must be navigated to manually.
